Yesterday I had the privilege to talk with sixth grade language arts students at West Branch Middle School in Ohio. We talked about the writing process and exactly what professional writers do – for magazines, newspapers, books, and blogs. They asked so many thoughtful questions, and I had a great time.

(Hi Sixth Graders! In case you’re interested in making healthier decisions, you or your parents may be interested in some of my posts about cosmetics or food. Two of your classes are pictured below:)
As I prepared for my classroom presentations, I was surprised to realize that I’ve been working on publications for the past twenty years. I’ve loved aspects of every job and project – and for that, I’m thankful. Because I’ve had so much professional experience as an editor, I’m now offering my editing services for other writers. If you know of anyone looking for an editor for their eBook or other writing project, please keep me in mind.
Giveaways
I’m announcing a couple of fantastic giveaways this coming week … check back tomorrow to enter to win three months of personal health training in the new year. And visit on Wednesday to enter to win a Kindle Fire.
