When it comes to your mouth, hydrogen peroxide can help a lot:
According to the Cosmetics Database, commercial tooth whiteners aren’t too dangerous. They’re pricey, though. A much cheaper and easier fix is found with hydrogen peroxide. Simply dip a Q-Tip in hydrogen peroxide and apply to your teeth for 30 seconds before brushing. Apply once a day – you can start noticing results in a few days.
Christy, a regular reader of Accidentally Green, shared that she makes an effective mouthwash with hydrogen peroxide and peppermint essential oil:
“My mouthwash isn’t anything special; it’s so easy! I just mix equal parts filtered water with 3 percent food-grade hydrogen peroxide and then add a few drops (depending on the strength of the oil and size of the bottle) of therapeutic-grade pure peppermint essential oil.
“It’s funny, all these years I’ve had lots of gum inflammation and as soon as I started using this mouthwash, I’ve had no issues! It’s great for preventing and curing ulcers as well.”
Thanks for sharing, Christy!
