Some parents want to know all the details about dangers their children are exposed too. (I admit it … guilty as charged.) Other prefer just the highlights.
Healthy Child Healthy World is catering to all new parents with their “Healthy Nursery Toolkit.” A brochure is available for parents who want the basic facts. A 40-page eBook explores common problems and solutions found in nurseries and baby products. (You can check out my review in yesterday’s post.) And then, there’s Healthy Child’s report, The Toxic Takeover of Baby Nurseries.
Filled with many details, the report explores results found by the Greenguard Environmental Institute and Good Morning America. The two partnered in 2012 to discover how much indoor air pollution was created by arranging a baby nursery with a new crib, changing table, rocker and décor.
According to The Toxic Takeover of Baby Nurseries, “After a week of testing, they discovered the air in their nursery contained 300 different chemicals—compared to just two right outside the window.”
The report highlights the opinion that, “More than thirty years of environmental health studies have led to a growing consensus that chemicals are playing a role in the incidence and prevalence of many diseases and disorders in our country.”
What’s next?
Healthy Child Healthy World has released an Infographic about “Hidden Dangers In Your Baby’s Nursery” … and a webinar is coming in March. If you’re a new parent, be sure to check Healthy Child Healthy World for more information.
